Hello Everyone
Hope everyone is well. I have been busy sewing and have made a good start on my September Block for my Basket Quilt by Dandelion Designs. All of the other patchwork pieces are sewn together for this quilt, it is just doing the remaining red work designs. I don’t think that I will be finished before this Christmas but no rush.
Here is my start …..

This basket reminds me of two things. Going to a farm where scrumpy (rough cider) was being made. The farm actually had a private drinking room (members only club). My very first cider drink had when I was on holiday in Cornwall with my family and celebrating my 18th birthday. (I fell down the steps in the restaurant) slighty tipsy. He! He!
Well enough of that, lets grab a brew and visit the other members who are all busy sewing and creating there own special projects.
Bye for now,
Daisy

Not pressuring yourself to work to a deadline is a wise and admirable decision, let’s keep it fun!! Cider was one of my first drinks since it’s quite weak and sweet, I would get treated to a single glass of french fizzy cider at Christmas. It’s definitely a nostalgic and rustic drink in memory 😂

Scrumpy is pretty strong too, no wonder you fell down the stairs 🙂 Looking forward to seeing this one stitched.

Your September block is coming along quickly! It does make me think I need to buy a gallon of cider this week, though ours is just plain cider. 🙂
