Hetty – Happy Bird

Maude completed

Hi everyone, I know it’s been a while – I’ve been busy and away on holiday. The above stitch work is a project I have been sewing during my dinner breaks at work. I have never added beads or ribbon to anything I have stitched before – so another first ticked off.
First x-stitch

Hi
This is the first cross stitch that I ever completed – it is in a Perspex frame/cover as it can be used to stand a teapot on.
W.I.P Lady Greensleeves
Hi everyone, this is my current project, who knew there were so many shades of green! The image bottom right is the actual cover – not my finished craftwork, though I hope it will eventually look like that.
I am also proceeding well with my work on Hetty, my parrot.
Will post again soon
Hetty Finally uses her Birthday Present

This was Hetty’s 13th Birthday Present. Finally uses it two months later. A lot of coaxing and patience required as she is not very trusting. Curious but hesitant. However, she soon took a lump out of the ladder, my little shredding machine. I love her so much.
American Indian Chief

This was my first large project. It was delightful how his face came to like, and when I put his eyes in I felt like he was watching me as I sewed the rest. Sorry about reflections but he hangs in pride of place in the lounge. Hope you like.
Work in Progress

Hi, these two images are the works of art I am presently stitching.
The Lady is called Maude and is a creation by Jill Cater-Nixon and distributed by Classic Embroidery. Very intricate but a delight to stitch.
The second image is my creation of my adored Meyer’s Parrot – Hetty.

So comfy!!! Team Hetty – got my own T-Shirt now.
Swallows
I just saw my first swallow, swooping here and there. Summer has officially arrived.
Yippee !
