Hi Everyone

Happy New Year wishes and blessings to anyone I haven’t contacted before.

I have been very busy stitching a variety of things, so lets get started in no particular order. I have been joining the two long seams of the Red Work Basket Quilt. This had been delayed while I plucked up the courage and found the best way to put the writing on the central square. This is now complete, see photos below

I used a Frixion pen and then sewed over the words. I didn’t find it easy but i guess practice makes perfect. Now I have the batting and backing so how to quilt. Let me think about it! It will all be hand quilted so a long project.

Secondly, I have finished the Mini Wholecloth Quilt. It looks fab, so soft and squishy. I was nervous about soaking it for 30-60 minutes, mainly because I thought the sewing thread might run. Luckily all was fine and the blue lines all disappeared. Magic!!

Here are some photos

With blue lines before soaking.

After washing – it looks even more crinkly.

Well that is all for this post.

  1. Hi Daisy – wow both look soooo fabulous. You did a great job on both. I was anxious to see how the red work quilt was going to look and I love it. The whole cloth quilt is adorable. Your stitching is lovely 🥰

  4. Your red quilt is looking great. I think your writing is pretty good, you’re braver than me both stitching so much writing and putting it on the front 🙂 I love the whole cloth quilt, I fancy doing one of those one day.
