60th Birthday

Hi Everyone

I have just celebrated in a quiet way a significant Birthday. Its was my 60th on Tuesday and whilst I was at work I received a gorgeous bunch of flowers (the pink bouquet in the photo below) with a lovely card. Work was busy but in an unusual way in that we are celebrating 150 years. We had the Dulux Dog (called Dorothy) to help us celebrate and a number of stalls set up for various brands to demonstrate their products.

I received some gorgeous presents, the yellow bouquet of flowers from my husband and he also bought me the Singer Sewing Machine Book Ends and the Sausage Dog set of tins (There are 2 of them inside the big tin), My mum bought me some material (not shown) and the Log Cabin Book, My Brother, the Scorpions T-Shirt and CD. What a co-incedence that they were celebrating 60 years of Rock. My Best friend bought me the cushion cover, a scarf and a 60th Birthday sash and a tiny box which is so charming as it is a herdy gerdy and plays You are my Sunshine. Small but perfectly charming.

I Love it.

I treated myself to the two wooden boxes and the Scrappy Quilt book from Laundry Basket Quilts. All in all a lovely Birthday. I didn’t need a large party just family and my best friend. Perfect!

I realise that I am blessed and fortunate to have such lovely items and am truly thankful.

Well that is all for now, tomorrow is posting day for the sewing group so must put some more stitches into my Hallowe’en project.

Bye for now
