Hope you are all well and safe, especially if you live in North of our pleasant island.
Again it is very hot here in Blighty and I have made little progress what with work being at full pelt still. (When is it going to slow down – just for a breather.)
so without more ado, this is where I was last time
and this is where I am now
Why not pop along to our other member’s projects as we are a small group of stitchers who encourage one another and post every three weeks.
Nothing is altering in my life at the moment, just lots of hard work and lots of aches to go with it. However, I managed to start sewing the edging on the Seasonal Quilt yesterday. Yippee!! Unfortunately Google/Wordpress Editor are playing up so cannot provide any evidence to back up my claim with a photograph.
So until next time when hopefully

I have not done one stitch on my Seasonal Quilt, mainly because it is too hot (not that I’m complaining), therefore with everyone’s blessing I am deciding to change my Work in Progress for this stitch-a-long to my cross stitch “Teacups” which is much easier to do whilst I listen to music or the T.V.
Therefore and without further ado, here is where I was ….
May 2020
And here is where I am now …
July 2020
It is beginning to look very colourful.
We are a small like minded group of sewing people who encourage one another to complete unfinished or work in progress projects. So why not pop along to the other members to see their progress.
Alas I have failed to do any more sewing on The Seasonal quilt, what with it being another intolerable heat wave here in the UK. Also there have been a good number of redundancies at work and also people on holiday so have had extra duties to perform as well as the extra work I was doing anyway. So only worked on Small Rose Window blocks and my Teacups cross stitch.
Hopefully, I will have performed better for the next time.
Please pop along to the other group members to view their projects.

Work has slowed a little, so I feel less frazzled, and have managed to sew a little in the evenings. I have actually completed one of the side edging to the Seasonal Quilt.
So this edging will go along the side of the quilt at the top of the previous photo, and then just need to finish one for the opposite end. The side (to the right of the previous photo) just needs 8 half hexagons added to its border and then it will be complete. Therefore, I may do a small happy dance as the top part of the quilt will be finished.

Hope you are well and safe, but most of all beginning to enjoy meeting friends and family. I visited my mother for the first time in 10 or 12 weeks. We have spoken on the phone regularly but visual is much better.
During this troubled time I have helped my husband in the garden, sometimes after work but mainly at the weekend, particularly when heavy work was involved i.e replanting some shrubs into larger pots, four hands are always better than two. We purchased two new pots and I painted them green as you can see from the photos below. We then filled the pots with the correct soil and half – buried the Camelia in the top garden. She is looking better already (I named her Camilla).
Here are some pictures (might be photo heavy actually)

Alas I have little to share as I am so tired after the days work, so a short post from me on this occasion.
I have done nothing on the Seasonal Quilt, however, I have found it easier to sew the Rose Window Blocks, being smaller and easier to handle in the hot weather, but even that has come to stop.
Last sewn square
Therefore, I suggest you go take a peek at the other members sewing achievements and i will hopefully get my mojo back for next time.
Take care and stays safe.

Hope you are all safe and well, I am much better and thank you all for your kind wishes.
I still haven’t achieved any more sewing on the Seasonal Quilt. Work is making me quite tired at the moment and to be honest it has been a touch warm to be sitting beneath a quilt. Instead I have cracked on a bit with the Teacup Cross Stitch.
Here is where I was ….
And here is where I am now ….
I have also been sewing the small Rose Window blocks (no photos) as they are more manageable in the heat.
We are a small group of people who sew for pleasure on whatever project they have in there WIP, and who encourage one another to complete projects. It certainly keeps me motivated. So please pop along to the other members listed below to see what they have produced.
How smart and clever Mother Nature is! Through all our dismay and concerns to Blooms!!!!!
Look at the luminosity of the light through this poppy petal.
And this one
The heads are quite huge.
The geraniums below are actually last years which have been in the ground all winter and come through unscathed and have some flower heads forming. They are a blessing in disguise since we were unable to go to the Garden Centre, and it has saved some money.
The rear garden has sprouted shoots for the Dahlias’ and both fushcia plants are sprouting leaves and the Begonias are just starting so with this warm spell we are having everything will blossom.
Cherries are forming on the cherry tree and all the trees – Oak, Canadian Maple tree have leaved up lovely.
The Palm we have growing has three huge flower heads – can not wait for this to blossom. It looks quite spectacular.

My husband has busied himself in the garden whilst I have been at work and a nice clean pond was one of his jobs. It is actually an old pigs trough which is painted green (the water is not green).
The only real calamity this year appears to be my Pieris Forest Flame which had it’s new shoots burnt in the early frost and it doesn’t appear to be shooting any new ones. It flowered beautifully and I have given it some food to help but alas nothing as yet.
We also need to sort out the Camellia shrub as I think it needs a larger pot and I am hoping the roots are not broken through the existing one it is in sunk into the ground as they do not like our soil, and need to planted in ericaceous soil.
Well that is the update on my garden so far. How is your garden faring? Have you been to a Garden Centre yet? What plants are your success story?
I love to share my Quilting projects with other Quilters. My goal is to share my progress on projects that I am working on. I would love for you to follow along with me during my endeavors. I hope you enjoy watching me tackle new techniques and projects. Hopefully you can learn from my "hiccups" and mistakes and make your journey easier.
